We started homework tonight. On Tuesdays and Thursdays leveled reading books will be coming home for homework. When leveled reading
books come home please have your child read them to you by sounding out
letters and using their keys and sight words that they have learned in
class. All the students in the class will be starting on the orange
level. Within the the first 3-4 weeks of school I will have each
student read to me and I will be able to decide what level book they
should be reading. I will continue having students read to me
throughout the year and will move them up through the leveled reading levels.
Today we learned the letter Ii.
When we learned this letter
we pretended that we were Inky the Mouse.

In Social we took a tour of the school.
In Math we reviewed all the way up to the number 6. we had fun playing "Dicey Exercises."
