So first off, I would like to say thanks to everyone for all their hard work doing the Purdy's fundraiser.  We raised enough money to purchase 2 iPod touches, 2 iPads, 4 sets of headphones, charging cables, av cables, and protector cases.  The chocolate will be delivered in early November and I'll let you know about pick up as soon as it comes in.

Today we learned the word families op and od.
We made words like God, iPod, Optimus Prime, mop.

That means, please add pages 17 and 18 to the word family flash cards.
In language arts today we made a list of things we are thankful for.  Students came up with some very thoughtful things.  Check out the list we made:

We then made some turkey feathers with the cloze sentence _________ is thankful for_____________ to put on our turkey in the hallway.  It looked pretty darn good when it was finished.

In Social we read the story "Town Mouse, Country Mouse" by Jann Brett.  We then learned the terms rural and urban to describe different types of communities.  There is a pretty Town Mouse Country Mouse colouring page you can print up by clicking on the following link:

In Math we finished up our patterns unit by reviewing what we learned...creating repeating patterns, extending patterns and translating patterns.

Have a great night!
