For No Excuse Words today we did Code Breaker:

Today we started our Robert Munsch unit.  We started with the classic story the Paper Bag Princess.  To listen to Robert Munsch telling the story click on the book below.

We then did a reading response by coming up with ways we would tire out a dragon if we met one.  We came up with some great ideas (in their own words):
  1. I would mack him swim 1000000 oshians.
  2. I would get him to clen ol the cars in the werld.
  3. I would make him chas the wolds fastist lambergeny.
In computers today we played fun math games.  You can access them by clicking the image below.

In Science we talked about how your sense of touch could help you if you were blind.  We learned that blind people read with their sense of touch and the braille alphabet.  Braille characters are small rectangular blocks called cells that contain tiny palpable bumps called raised dots. The number and arrangement of these dots distinguish one character from another (wikipedia).

Here are a couple of pictures of the kids using seeds and glue to write their name in braille.

Have a great night!!!
