For No Excuse Words today we did a spelling picture:

For word work we made st and str words.

In LA we started our Stuart Little novel study.  Every week we will read 2 chapters and then answer some reading comprehension questions.  In chapter 1 and 2 we found out that Stuart is a mouse.  He  had to go down the drain to find his mom's ring.  Also, he is in charge of chasing after the ping pong ball when his family plays ping pong.

In Art today we made a top secret Mother's Day present.  It will be coming home tonight but no peeking until Sunday Mom.

For Science, we talked about things we can do to keep our eyes safe.  For example:

1. Wear sunglasses when you look at the sun.
2. Don't poke a pencil in your eye.
3. Hold scissors and knives with the sharp part pointing down.
4. Don't rub your eyes if you get something in them, instead rinse them out with clean water.

''Lastly, tomorrow is the Mother's Day Liturgy put on by the grade 2s.  It is at  1:00pm and you are free to come.
