Today in science we did a cool experiment where we put 2 thermometers outside, one buried in snow and one on top of the snow. The students were amazed when we found that the temperature of the thermometer in the snow was higher than the one on top of the snow. We learned that snow acts like an insulating blanket and helps animals in their caves or burrows stay warm in the winter.
In Jolly Phonics today we learned the digraph (when 2 consonants combine to make a new sound) ch
When we learned this digraph we pretended that we were a choo-choo train.
