Today we learned the letter Aa.

When we learned this letter we pretended that there were ants on our arms.

During centre time today Mrs. Easton assessed us on uppercase letters.  To practice them at home you can either print them up as flashcards (click here) or review slideshows online)  (click here).

We had our first Social Studies class today.  We talked about groups we belong to.  Some examples are St. Anne School, gymnastics, our family, dance, swimming, baseball and church to name a few.

In Religion today we talked about how Jesus welcomes children.  We made welcome nametags for our bedroom doors.  It was fun putting stickers on them.

Today was the second day of school.

Today we learned the letter Ss.

We made an All About Me poster.  We wrote how old we are, how many pets we have, how many people in our house, how many teeth we've lost, our favourite number and how big our hand is.  Check some of them out:

This afternoon we reviewed the numbers 1, 2 and 3 and we also had centres.

Today was our first day of school.  It was lots of fun.  This morning we met our new friends and organised our school supplies.

We also got to use the Promethean Board in our class.  It is a big board that you use a stylus to manipulate.  We did calendar, read the story "If You Bring a Mouse to School" and learned our classroom rules.

Another cool thing we did was eat lunch in our classroom and have a second outdoor recess!!!

This afternoon we did a fun craft called "Take a Peek at Your Class"

We had a great day and can't wait until tomorrow.
